Website Requests Adblocker Deactivation

I have encountered websites that detect the presence of PiHole Adblocker and refused to serve the requested page until the Adblocker is removed. However, recently, I have observed a shift in behavior to where the website requests the Adblocker to be disabled while displaying a condescending and guilty feeling for depriving them of revenue message that does include an option to proceed with the Adblocker active.

My question is how do these pages detect the PiHole Adblock presence?

They don't detect Pi-hole specifically but they do detect that you haven't loaded an advertising asset or image and from that they determine that you're using something to block their tracking.
