# Web won't update to 5 beta

The core updates fine to v5.0 but the web part doesn't:

root@pihole:/etc# pihole checkout web release/v5.0  
Please note that changing branches severely alters your Pi-hole subsystems  
Features that work on the master branch, may not on a development branch  
This feature is NOT supported unless a Pi-hole developer explicitly asks!

Please send us the token generated by

```auto
pihole -d

```

or do it through the Web interface:

How did you change to the other repo to begin with? Changing the origin repo from the non-Pi-hole one to the Pi-hole one may not work.
