Web Query Log (admin/queries.php) empty, but pihole.log is active

Expected Behaviour:

Viewing admin/queries.php (Web query log) should show recent queries.
This is

  • Pi-hole v5.18.3
  • FTL v5.25.2
  • Web Interface v5.21
    running on Raspbian GNU/Linux 12 (Debian 12.1) on Raspberry Pi

Actual Behaviour:

Web query log always shows as empty. However pihole -t shows lots of activity, as does using Web UI to visit admin/taillog.php.
Also empty is Long-term Data Query Log (admin/db_queries.php), no matter what time range is selected, and it shows 0 total queries.
