V5.0 FTL Update available misleading message

Problem with Beta 5.0:
`on Beta 5.0 every time i run pihole -up the FTL update available message comes up and followed by a full on install of FTL and the gravity lists refreshed. This has been the case for few days now.

I am on 5.0 as well but I am not getting this issue
try running pihole -r and select repair then reboot and try to update again

tried the suggestion but didn't make a difference. What is your output for pihole -v ?

Yes, had to ctl+c in the end as I didn't want to go thru the update.

Do you have dnsmasq installed and enabled? If you do then FTL will always install the binary.

Installed and enabled the required dependency’s

It's not a dependency. FTL includes dnsmasq so the actual dnsmasq package and binary are not needed. Having it installed will cause issues.
