Using someone else's /etc/pihole/adlists.list

I have the latest Pi-Hole software (5+) and am trying to add a while bunch of adlists but would like to add it to the /etc/pihole/adlists.list file rather than go through the webGUI for each one.

When I add the text list file, I restart Gravity but it doesn't seem to pull anything from the file. Could someone tell me if there is something I am missing in the process or whether the methodology is now changed to only allow the web GUI to add lists?

You may paste a plain text list containing one line per file directly into Pi-hole's adlist UI, e.g.

This file is obsolet since v5 and has been replaced with the gravity.db. You can inject adlists via Sql. See here

Copy the entire list to the clipboard. Then, in group Management > adlists, paste the contents of the clipboard and hit add. Then rebuild gravity.

Thanks all! Appreciate the quick response and I've resorted to just copying the contents of the file (without the commented out lines) into the Web GUI. Works well for static lists...hopefully I don't need to change often.

Thanks again!
