Using Pi hole to block google searches (regex)

Please follow the below template, it will help us to help you!

Expected Behaviour:

I am hoping to use a regex statement to block web page access. I have searched high and low for a solution via google, but all the results are about blocking ads, which I understand is it's primary function.

Actual Behaviour:

Using a regex statement, it doesn't seem to block anything. The idea is to keep the kids from looking for keywords on google, and I am hoping to use Pi-hole for this instead of a browser plugin, so I can manage all the PCs / tablets / etc. centrally.
Here is the string I placed in the blacklist: .*.google.com/search.3.a.m.

Thanks for any help!

It‘s not possible with Pi-hole, as you can read for example here.
