I use on a Mikrotik this list:

Which combines ~30+ lists already.
But Mikrotik suffers from memory / cpu and I just found out about Pi-Hole!

Can I use this list (I already have a shell script changing the list to another format)
or you use it already ?

The Mikrotik does not suffer, you are using domains and you should be using IP-adresses with RouterOS.

You can use the domain and hosts files and Pi-hole is designed to use those.

In case, I’ve cleaned up the list, to a Domains only format, so you shouldn’t have any worries with Pi-hole not really catching the domains the blacklist. (Despite what says msatter on that)

Hi sjhgvr
Do you have your whitelist without porno?

The only reason I posted the whitelists is to let people know how my list is created.
I never intended the whitelists to be used individually by other people.

Edit: I put some text in the top of the whitelists explaining that now, you are not the first person commenting on the whitelists
Edit2: removed the links completely… gave too many headackes

So no, and no my list does not block porn.

If you do want to block porn I suggest you try these blocklists;

Hi, I’m using anudeepND’s whitelist. Thanks for that!
For updating the whitelist.txt should I run sudo ./referral.sh or sudo ./whitelist.sh? Sorry, it’s not clear to me.

It’s sudo ./whitelist.sh.
That actually depends, if you also installed the referral whitelist, that used to un-break some websites and services, by allowing some trackers/ads domains.
In that case, if you’ve installed that one, do sudo ./referral.sh too.

whitelist.txt works fine for most of the time. Beware that referral-list.txt contains advertising domains and trackers

@P-McNewHold and @AnudeepSuperuser

Thanks for your quick reply. Greetings

I would like to suggest the FDN alternative DNS too.
It’s the ones from the French Data Network association, being an FAI mainly volunteer and selfless for Internet freedom.
But i guess you would surely take a closer look at that on their website anyway.

Hi guys,
Thank you for mentioning my project: phishing.army

It’s been a month since I launched the project and daily more than 2 thousand users download the list.

For now only positive feedback! I’m happy!

Hi! Firstly, thanks for you blocking and white lists. Was just wondering, I tried downloading the whitelist, but it keeps saying the url is forbidden. Have you taken it offline?

Yes, as explained here; [UPDATE] The best blocking lists for the Pi-Hole + DNS Ad blockers interesting combination

Will it become slower when using more blocking entries ?

It will a nice option to see witch files are being used or hit so you can clean up your config.

Would be better with static IP’s http://128.199.249.212/allhosts
I disable the cloud pihole with 127.0.01 under custom to avoid feed back when server is young.

For https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CHEF-KOCH/CKs-FilterList/master/Anti-Corp/hosts/NSABlocklist.txt, GitHub as blocked (or removed) this repository due to DMCA since 2019-03-05.

Link : https://github.com/github/dmca/blob/master/2019/03/2019-03-05-WindowsSpyBlocker.md.

I understand, I have searched and found another list similar to CHEF-KOCH, this is

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Cauchon/NSABlocklist-pi-hole-edition/master/HOSTS%20(including%20excessive%20GOV%20URLs)

These are the updated lists that I use today, I have an Orange Pi One with these lists the use of RAM does not exceed more than 25% and blocking approx. 40-50% nd false positives are very rare
