You're running an open resolver which you should not do and which is not supported in any kind by pihole.
There is a huge chance that you're experience random access from clients from all over the internet. Your pihole could be a threat to other DNS servers (DDos attacks):

You should close port 53 and make your remote pihole accessible only via VPN.
