I had pixelated Skygo in Germany when using pihole
When not using pihole as a DNS blocker, it worked.
After whitelisting analytics.faw.sky.com and conviva.com, it seems the issues are gone.
After flushing the DNS cache in Windows, I found that there are more sites I need to whitelist. This is of course related to the list of blocked domains I have, plus I am not 100% sure if whitelisting every entry is possible. I tried to add them piece by piece, but you might get along with less. At least it works for me now.
