Yeah, unfortunately this is (sometimes) required on Synology - see this issue thread for details on that. Docker on DSM can be quite fiddly, I much prefer to use something like a Pi 4.
It's worth looking into setting up and using Portainer instead of the Docker GUI on DSM - I find it to be much more user friendly
