Ring Doorbell Video History Not Loading

Hi there,

I have pihole v5 setup and I’m having trouble loading historical motion activated videos on my ring doorbell. When launching a video from within the Ring app, I just get a message “Error: A server with a specified hostname could not be found”. It works fine without the pihole. I couldn’t see any blocked domains or URLs in the query list.

Anyone have any ideas on what I would need to whitelist?

Check your Query Log for red lines. They probably store the video history on some vendor-controlled server (and this may also be related to tracking). I would get rid of this device instead of whitelisting
