Ok that means you get the correct ipv6 address on both machines. Now you can check more easely if the IPv6 called through CMD matches the IPv6 in the Pi-hole GUI in Settings.
What's left to do is make the script for windows 10 to inject the IPv6 address from raspberry into the IPv6 DNS server in windows 10
@Spyelite: But what I still don't understand is why the Pi has multiple global ipv6. Are they equivalent? Why has eth0 beside the "link locales" TWO(!) diffrent ipv6??
Currently I have entered the link locale ipv6 in the Win10 DNS and it works. But I was taught that this is not a nice solution.
Thanks again for your fantastic help.
Hehe, you can study more about how the internet actually works from Network Direction YT channel it is a long and in depth story why it uses two ipv6's but for now it's ok to know that it is normal. And we should focus on making that automatic so that you don't have to manually add it every single time it changes.
It will take some time because i have to rely on google to make the script for win10.
But as i stated before, call your ISP and ask for the right to change the DNS in the router. If not i would sugest buying another router(Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X is cheap, great performance and a lot of customisation)
No the two IPv6's are not equal. That's why i said rely on the IPv6 provided in the Pi-hole GUI interface found in Settings-System
@Spyelite: I'm very grateful to you. Also because I've learned so much again.
@Spyelite: Edit: Ok thanks. There is no hope with the ISP, others tryed this allready, but they didnt want a dns change. Because it is a cable router, there are not so much cheap alternatives. Also the router dosnt support Bridge-Mode, so I can´t use another one without double NAT. You see, thats not the answer.
Yes, I took the ipv6 from the script and that was shown unter Settings. Also the use of the link locale IP in Windows seems to work.
@Nachtwesen Well, as i saw you have Vodafone as an ISP. I still don't think they won't be able to unlock that feature in the router so that you can fidle with it,you just have to learn how to ask and be very determined about it when asking, the support operators are trained to stand theyr ground but i don't think legally they can enforce that limitation on you.
Get documented about the laws regarding this ISP problem or ask a lawyer or on a legal forum in germany. They might help unlock that feature for you.
In the meantime i will try to create a script for automation but it will take me some days since i have to start almost from 0 and get documented about it.
Or you could ask on how to do that on Stack Overflow for someone to create the script much faster than me and make it automatic. They will respond much faster with a solution than i can come up with one.
