If you tail the pihole log with pihole -t and launch a browser window or app on the Pixel 5, do you see a burst of activity in the log tail from that device?

Yep! Although it looks like the connectivity issue resolved itself after running pihole -d? (Not actually sure why its working now). I'm still seeing ads on https://msn.com and the banner ads on Test your ad blocker (in a few simple steps) - Ads-blocker.com however on all devices.

I think I've figured out the original issue, so here's a follow up post with some details on that. During debugging before making this post I ran pihole reconfigure which reset the forwarded DNS back to google's. This is why I think the connection started working. I then reset the DNS to 127.0.0.…
