Pihole -up is failing with /opt/pihole/update.sh: line 108: : No such file or directory
I found a previous post but it did not detail how to correct the issue properly.
Pi-hole version is v6.0.6 (Latest: v6.0.6)
web version is v6.1 (Latest: v6.1)
FTL version is v5.25.2 (Latest: v6.1)
Running Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster) all updates installed
Pihole looks like it's running but the web interface is not.
That worked. I'm running on a Pi2 and I think Raspian 10 is the highest rev it will run. I think I'll order newer hardware so I can stay current.
Thanks for the help!
Hey Doug, sorry to hear you've had some issues. If you'd prefer to open a new thread and post the link to your pi-hole debug log with pihole -d, I'm sure the devs and the community can help you fix the problems with your upgrade.
To ger around the RPM distro I installed pinhole on an MMC card running DietPi in a Pi3. With no configuration it downloaded additional software. The router put it on 192.168.1.10 and treating that as an input i could see regular pulses coming in. That is about as far as I got. The Pi software downloaded but couldn't find the dependency file. Please forgive my Samsung AI phone. It wins every time. I had to re-phrase a sentence before it would be accepted.
I've run Pi-Hole for I don't know how many years, and except for the glitch changing from 5 to 6, whenever I had issues with Pi-Hole it was issues between me and the keyboard.
I do strongly advice to use some newer hardware for this, even if it does not need the horsepower, my Pi-Hole's run sooooooooo much smoother on RPi 4 than it did on RPi 2 and 3. I never run high on resources, and except for the occasional version or gravity update, I never have to look at it.
The thread started by npramage on Feb 27 should help. It was his problem that stopped me but by now that bug should be squished. I will start an updated thread.
