This is unusual. /etc/pihole/adlists.list is the name of the file that contains the URLs of all your subscribed blocklists. It is a text file and not a binary file. What is the output of the following commands from the Pi teminal:

ls -lh /etc/pihole/adlists.list

cat /etc/pihole/adlists.list
