Pi hole not working

Your debug log shows that your Pi is properly configured and working. However, it has seen no DNS queries from network clients. This indicates that your router and/or clients are not properly configured to use Pi-hole for DNS.

Your DHCP server (the router) is not distributing the IP of Pi-hole as the DNS server, so clients aren't using Pi-hole. The router is distributing Comcast DNS servers.

So how do I fix it?

Hello? I really want to get this going ..

You need to tell the router to distribute Pi-hole's IP as DNS server via DHCP. You need to consult your router manual how to do that.

Bad news on this one (see my post in the other thread for details), but long story short, DNS settings cannot be modified on those routers.

The phone is now using the Pihole but still not blocking ads. Someone please help.

Comcast modems don't allow that. There's only so much you can do with them but I'm confident I can get this working if only someone would point me in the right direction.

Does the modem allow you the reduce the DHCP range? You could limit the range to a single IP address and make a fixed DHCP assignment for your Pi host. Then enable Pi-hole's DHCP server for all other devices on your network.

How do you determine that the phone is using Pi-hole now? Where do you see ads on the phone?

I see that it is using Pihole now but is still not blocking ads

It is stil not blocking ads everywhere I mean.

Please access flurry.com from your phone and see if it appears in Pi-hole's query log as being blocked.

Because it is listed as using Pihole

I see ads on phone when viewing google results and trying to use Tubitv and YouTube

Those sponsored ads right at the beginning of google results and youtube ads can't be blocked by Pi-hole. The are served from the same domain as the content. You can't block the ads without blocking google or youtube video content as well.

Then just put the piholes ip right? Idk if I can. What else should I do?

I tried this and I still see fricking ads.....:enraged_face::angry::angry:

Idk all I see is a bunch of letters and numbers. I don't see the name of the website.
