Which IP do you have in /etc/resolv.conf?
Mine uses 127.0.0.1 which is the local host address of the pihole. This could also be another DNS service provider such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8
I'm getting ignoring 127.0.0.1, local interface warning when using 127.0.0.1. 1.1.1.1 works though.
Ok. Got you. That should be fine using 1.1.1.1, You just don't want your routers address so you don't have a loop occuring where the pi sends a dns request to the router and then the router sends it back to the pi etc.

I'm not exactly why it fails to your local interface / pihole IP but as long as its 1.1.1.1 then your ok
The only remaining thing is to make this change permanent. You recommend nmtui?
Yep. Its pretty easy to use. Read the the article I linked first. The only think you want to change is the DNS info in the IPV4 section.

I found another way which uses resolvconf service. What do you think?
