Pi-hole and OPNsense

Hi!

Thanks for the great information in your recent blog post. I'm really excited to read the next one as I've been contemplating Unbound for a while now.

I have a couple questions regarding the first step in the OPNsense post:

Configuring OPNsense dnsmasq

The first step in the process is to set up dnsmasq on the OPNsense host to send the extra information for Pi-hole to utilize

  1. From what I've read so far, OPNsense requires a dedicated host. Am I correct in my understanding, or can it be run in parallel with other applications (like Pi-hole or Unbound)?
  2. I know this isn't the place, but would a 2012 i5 Mac mini be a capable host for OPNsense?
