IPv6 in local.list

I am apptempting to add an IPv6 static mapping to some hostnames via the local.list file.
I used the same syntax as IPv4, but with the link local IPv6. I fully expanded the IPv6, not sure if that matters.

Expected Behaviour:

Resolve hostname to IPv4 and IPV6 static values

Actual Behaviour:

Does not appear to query local.list at all, instead forwards queries to external dns. Suspect bad syntax?

Put those mappings in /etc/hosts on the Pi (or in a configuration file in /etc/dnsmasq.d), not in /etc/pihole/local.list .
