Internet not working after fresh install

VM installed on cluster Google Cloud Projects
Today installed pi-hole on VM

Enter DNS address (external IP VM) on my home router and .... internet not working on all devices
In Chrome error "DNS PROBE STARTED", or "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG"

Your Pi-hole appears to be working properly, with the following exceptions:

1. Your gravity list is empty - your sole adlist is disabled.
2. Lighttpd (the web admin GUI server) is not running because Apache2 is on the same port (80).

How is the VM configured to accept external traffic?

From a client that you believe should be connected to the Pi-Hole for DNS, from the command prompt or terminal on that client (and not via ssh or Putty to the Pi), what is the output of

nslookup pi.hole

If I read those pictures correct, you have not port 53 open for dns. Because your pihole is in the cloud, you have to open it externally and make it so it's open only for you. (Allow only your external ip)
