The issue I am facing:
When attempting to play Halo infinite multiplayer, the game will not join a session. it will stay loading the session and timeout. this is the only game that is giving me any issue since I added my pihole to the network. the game works perfectly fine if my pihole is off.
Details about my system:
I am running pihole out of a virtual machine on a machine running windows server that is always on.
What I have changed since installing Pi-hole:
all I have changed is give my router pihole as my dns server
These tools can help determine why your desired content does not load.
the commonly whitelisted domains thread may also shed some light on which domains are required for xbox live
It might be self.events.data.microsoft.com, but I'm not 100% yet.. I've just temporarily disabled my Pi-hole so I can get a game in and then I'll investigate later!
Edit: that said, I can't connect even with Pi-hole disabled currently.
