Group management for local dns?

Is it possible to apply group management for local dns?
De goal is to exclude WireGuard vpn users from using local dns.
I use local dns to have some domains routed internal. But from external my external ip should be used. Now I made internal devices accessible through vpn. But I think it’s safer and faster to just use the external ip.

I think I remember there was some discussion here on the forums about this previously? Give searching a go but from memory (take this with a huge grain of salt) it’s not possible.
