This is not a request for help but rather a possible solution for those experiencing very slow wifi on Android with pihole.
When you connect to wifi on Android with DHCP the DNS server is automatically set to Google's DNS. This made my internet speed so slow that I eventually resorted to installing custom ROMs to find out what was going on. In the end, all I had to do was:
- forget the wifi connection
- reconnect and select static IP address (Just use the IP address your connection was previously using)
- specify both DNS servers as the address of your pihole for both DNS1 and DNS2
Bingo, my internet speed on my Android mobile is now fixed.
