Error updating to V4.0 (unable to get latest release from GitHub)

I was able to update two PiHoles fine. The third one is a bit of a problem.
"Error: Unable to get latest release from github"
"FTL engine is not installed"
"DNS resolution is currently unavailable"
"Unable to complete update. Please contact pi-hole support."

Tried pihole -r -- same result as above.

I tried to add 1.1.1.1 to the resolv.conf file, as suggested in the post I've cited below. However, it appears that that file is set to read-only. So I'm unable. Is there another solution -- other than to trash the installation and start over, I wonder?

Dns resolution is currently unavailable (whilst updating to 4.0)

Try sudo:

Temporarily change nameserver in /etc/resolv.conf from 127.0.0.1 into 8.8.8.8: sudo sed -i 's/127.0.0.1/8.8.8.8/' /etc/resolv.conf And run repair: pihole -r
