Domains on blocklist: 142

Pihole has been running unattended for a week or so, I hadn't logged in at all. Just fired up the browser to see some statistics, and it is only blocking 142 domains. I have a lot of lists configured for blocking. I forced an update to all the lists, and I'm still at 142. I rebooted, still at 142.

What happened to the zillions of domains pihole used to block for me???

Please send us the token generated by

pihole -d

so we can help debug the issue.

Thank you!

Can you share the output of pihole -g from the command line? You definitely have a lot of lists and I can see your blacklist is populated. The output from the command will help diagnose the issue further. It's not something we usually account for in the debug log.

I'm guessing the "no space left on device" has something to do with the problem, hahahaha. Is a 2GB sdcard not enough for pihole plus a lot of lists?

Thanks.

Don't forget there is also an operating system. Regarding used and free space take a look at the command
df -h.

To free some space run sudo apt-get clean.

Not much help. I guess I need a bigger sdcard.

To confirm, the out-of-space problem is why the existing lists are not being used? Can I pare down the lists, free up space, and get pihole working again?

I had a spare 32gb sdcard.

I ftp'd /etc/pihole/* to another machine.

I installed raspian and pi-hole on the 32gb sdcard, got it running, and put /etc/pihole/* back

(then I found teleporter, oh well)

I am now blocking 2,645,753 domains again.

Yeah, when you run out of space, all sorts of weird things start happening.
