DNS service not running, FTL offline - KANO Computer

Expected Behaviour:

I guess all leds in web UI should be green.

Actual Behaviour:

red light for - DNS service not running
red light for - FTL offline
On clicking Enable, DNS servise will turn green, but on refresh will be back red.

I tried different solutions that I read related to "DNS service not running" and "FTL offline" - but it didn't help.

From what I read I think it may be this (because it is a KANO - customized Raspberry Pi): "Your kernel/filesystem does not support the capabilities required for letting FTL bind to the right ports when running under a non-root user".
But I am not sure,

but os_release say the OS it is Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) - I guess this OS should be supported.
Or there are customizations that were made on top of it , because of KANO.

We don't know the changes made by KANO. Address the problems noted in your debug log and let's see if we can make this run.
