Commonly Whitelisted Domains

Not with Pi-hole. Pi-hole does not associate DNS queries with any particular website or app - it simply sees a stream of DNS queries from clients and answers them.

I noticed the album artwork on the SiriusXM app on my iphone was missing. I found that whitelisting the following domain fixed it:

zc.adswizz.com

whitelist c.amazon-adsystem.com and it will work.

I noticed my google discover page wasn't loading on pixel launcher.
I had to whitelist,

discover-pa.googleapis.com

to make it work

It says that anyone can edit, but I can't edit the list. I have couple of domains to make some services work very well. How do I do it?

What happens when you try, do you get an error message? Post the domains here and I will add them if you wish.

Someone approved me and I added a contribution to the list

iCloud Private Relay Domains

The following domains need to be whitelisted to enable iCloud Private Relay

pihole -w mask.icloud.com
pihole -w mask-h2.icloud.com

Instagram

pihole -w instagram.c10r.instagram.com
pihole -w i.instagram.com

This is what I found was blocking Instagram from working properly

For anyone that is using the A&E Android TV app you must whitelist this one for the app to work

Had to do it for my Nvidia Shield

aax-ott-c2s.amazon-adsystem.com

Magenta Cloud
tags-eu.tiqcdn.com

Weather.com search

pihole -w mparticle.map.fastly.net

**Hello communions!
A simple update in the whitelist. If you use pihole w/ 'Kodi' player on any\all devices where the app is installed any dwnld streaming server used (i.e. - alldebrid, real-debrid, simkl, etc.) must be whitelisted in pihole in order to stream w/o slowed buffering.

( Example: 'pihole -w real-debrid' ). That is all .... Hve a gr8 day, everyone! :slightly_smiling_face:**

Below 2 need to be whitelisted for Google playstore to work flawlessly with pihole->
play.google.com
play-lh.googleusercontent.com

I have whitelisted domains as shown in attached image for willow.tv app to work flawlessly on android devices with pihole.I think the key one is imasdk.googleapis.com.

redirector.gvt1.com is needed for Firefox on Windows to download and install Widevince plugin (likely a one-time action), otherwise DRM protected video content can not be shown.

If blocked, it will forever last in this state:

Learned the hard way and found this solution thanks to Widevine Content Decryption Module will not install | Firefox Support Forum | Mozilla Support.

Strava

d3nn82uaxijpm6.cloudfront.net

is needed for Strava app and Strava.com. Seems to be new. Since some days it's not working without whitelistening this.

dcape-na.amazon.com

is needed in order to use (probably at least one-time login to) the "Amazon app store" on Windows (using Windows Subsystem for Android).

Otherwise a login error is presented and the app therefore does not work.

googleads.g.doubleclick.net
pubads.g.doubleclick.net
pagead2.googlesyndication.com

seem to be needed in order to stream using the radio.de app (‎radio.de - Radio und Podcast im App Store)

...which is kind of a no-go as that likely opens so much ads served through those (sub)domains... I consider removing this app instead of accepting the potential/likely negative ad impact.
