Hi guys,
I started using PiHole since yesterday and like it so far, however on my Android device I get mad from all those fake/scam/ad sites that all use .click .mobi .gold and .xyz domains.
Is it possible to add some rules to block every site/domain using one those extensions?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, that will be possible with the next release (we added wildcard blocking).
If you wildcard block, e.g. xyz
(no leading dot!), anything underneath it will be blocked, e.g.
some.fance.ad.xyz
some.other.crap.xyz
etc.xyz
So stay tuned for the upcoming release.

See also these threads:
There are some services using multiple subdomains which are frequently changing. While it is not possible to blacklist them all, it would be great to have the possibility to automatically block subdomains of specific hosts. Maybe based on the blocklist they are listed in (sorry for my bad english!).

Thank you for all the replies!
I just downloaded the newest PiHole and it indeed has the new wildcard blocking option.
So if I understood correctly, now I only have to add the domains to block like "xyz" or "mobi" and click on the Add(wildcard) button?

Yes that is all you have to do.
Great! Just tried it and so far it seems to work!
Chrome now comes with ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED when I try to open any .xyz website, just what I needed.
