# Basic question about whitelisting

We are having spotty issues connecting to our SharePoint site, due to pi-hole filtering. My question is:

If I whitelist microsoft.com, will that whitelist everything under that domain, including sub- sub- sub- domains?

For example, will whitelisting 'microsoft.com' allow 'mobile.pipe.aria.microsoft.com'???

No, it does not. You will need to whitelist each domain/subdomain.
