Yes, but it is not recommended.
A long time ago, there was an update cron job that did exactly that (update pi-hole automatically), but it has been removed, because a bad update caused all pi-hole's to stop functioning.
A few years ago I wrote a script / method to update remote pi-hole's automatically, given an external approval, see here.
