Anyway to bypass nydailynews.com's detection of Pi-hole ("disable ad block" nag)?

I setup Pi-hole a few weeks ago specifically to block ads on nydailynews.com on my phone. On my computer I use ublock origin and nydailynews doesn't bug me at all about using an ad blocker. But on the phone, it nags me to disable my ad blocker and I have to press a button to "continue with the ad blocker." After a few pages it won't even let me continue, I have to clear cookies just to get the option back.

Is there anything I can whitelist or additionally block to bypass the nag screen?

I only have the 1 default Pi-hole block list set up. I'm running Pi-hole in a VM on FreeNAS.

Thank you

With android I use kiwi browser and it allows adding extensions, so I use ublock origin on that as well.

Ty, I read about that but I try to keep my apps as default as possible in an attempt to conserve battery life.

Anyway, I ended up treating the ad blocker nag like another ad and following, How do I determine what domain an ad is coming from?, to determine it was coming from getadmiral.com. I added that to the blacklist and it appears to have solved my issue. No more nag!

Edit: The nag returned so I searched further for PiHole and getadmiral and found this topic, https://www.reddit.com/r/pihole/comments/90k2jw/piehole_use_detection_by_levin_labs_getadmiralcom/ ... turns out getadmiral is blocked by https://firebog.net/ tick lists. I'm going to give that a shot.
