Alternative to V6 pi-hole

Hi,

I waited for a lot to update from V5 to V6 and I hope that the “atrocious new Static DHCP” page would have been rolled back to the V5 style; I did the upgrade without checking before and now I’m stuck with that “atrocious new Static DHCP” page that I hate.

I’m the author of the post about reinstalling V5 instead of V6, but I don’t like this approach, so my question is pretty simple: is there an alternative to pi-hole? I’m mainly interested in the DCHP/DNS maintenance more than the ad-block feature.

Thank you

Perhaps go play with adguard if it bothers you that much?

I think using “atrocious” might be a tad dramatic.

The DHCP interface may not be the same as v5, but to me the functionality gained in v6 far outweighs the DHCP interface change. The interface is by no means atrocious, and besides, the DHCP data from v5 was populated into v6. I’ve added one or two new devices to the list, but that was months back.

If it is really that bad, and you need to do this frequently, perhaps creating a CSV file with the necessary data might work better.
