Addresses being forwarded to router

I run Pihole with DNSSEC and conditional forwarding enabled. I have Never forward non-FQDN A and AAAA queries Disabled so I'm able to resolve local hostnames.

I have been looking at the query logs being forwarded to my BThub(DHCP Server) and there is a lot of normal traffic like reverse lookups etc but there is the odd domain like (discord.com) being forwarded is this normal and they appear to be from pi.hole rather than my devices aswell?

SECURE|DNSSEC (21.6ms)|

Since Pi-hole FTL 5.9, those queries are expected if you have DNSSEC enabled.

They are indeed issued by PI-hole itself in order to perform DNSSEC validations (see also Understanding DNSSEC validation using Pi-hole's Query Log)

You can control whether you want to see them in your logs by adding the respective SHOW_DNSSEC option to your pihole-FTL.conf.

Thank you
